When the Verizon iPhone dropped a few months ago, I wrote a post about how I was going to wait for the iPhone 5 because of speed, 8 month old technology, and a desire to finally, for once in my life, have the latest and greatest technology. Oh how I’ve been waiting for the new iPhone.

Last week, however, some rumors surfaced that one of the iPhone 5 component manufacturers was told that they would not start production until September. Other rumors have surfaced that claim that they won’t be released until just before Christmas or even at the start of the new year. Finally, earlier today, another report surfaced that the iPhone 6 is already scheduled for June of 2012.

Well… my HTC Touch (or as Verizon likes to call it, the Verizon XV6900) is failing left and right. This phone has been nothing but a problem since I bought it in 2009. The handset I have now is actually my third as I’ve had two others fail and be replaced. It is toast, but I’ve been waiting for the June iPhone 5 introduction.

So here I am with a dying phone and now having to wait until late 2011 or even early 2012.

This Friday, however, things will change. I will be getting the iPhone 4. I know, I know. you guys are ecstatic. I mean, the phones been out for nearly 10 months, its about time I get one… ha, but for real. I am really excited.
